Dear Members,

The AFL has given the green light to recommence training from 1 June 2020, providing it is done in accordance with the strict AFL and Government guidelines and we are working with the Shire of Yarra Ranges to finalise the details for the recommencement of training for our club.

Training sessions will be comprised of smaller groups and scheduled to ensure that group numbers do not exceed the AFL and Government guidelines. Also, there will be strict rules in consideration of social distancing regulations and reducing the risk of community transmission of COVID-19. If these rules are not followed there is a very real risk that we will be told to stop training.

All the Football Sub-Committees are doing a lot of work in the background to ensure that each team has an opportunity to train should they wish to and each Division is handling this differently due to the sensitive nature of what we are faced with.

For your reference we have attached our Player Requirement document outlining the rules and processes that we will follow during our training program.

Ultimately the health and safety of all CPFC players, members, club personnel and supporters are paramount and we will be adhering to all the Government policies around hygiene and training.

As such, we wish to highlight some items from our Player Requirement document:

• You are under no obligation or pressure to return training or playing this year. Each person has their own unique circumstances and all coaches, players and officials will respect any decision you make regarding training or playing.
• Please do not attend training if you feel unwell.
• Players must only train with their representative teams.
• All players must bring their own water bottle and towel.
• Due to strict guidelines around player participation numbers players must inform their coaches by 4pm the day of their scheduled training if they will be attending training. Due to the maximum number policy, players will not be allowed to arrive without notification.

Your coach will contact you shortly to outline the day/time that your team will recommence training.

Should you have any have any questions please do not hesitate to contact your coach, your relevant Football President or email Danielle Skillern at clubsecretary@chirnsidefc.com

On behalf of the Management Committee and all the Football Sub-Committees, we hope that you stay safe and well and be sure to check in on each other.
